This morning I predicted (to my wife) that he would double back to Windsor after the truck he stole from his victims was found near Renfrew (Ottawa area)...good call apparently.

Windsor police say murder suspect could return for daughter

Published: Tuesday, July 31, 2007 WINDSOR, Ont. - After investigating 100 tips that fugitive murder suspect Jesse Imeson is in the Windsor area, police said Monday there's a chance he's headed this way for his toddler daughter.
Days before the start of an alleged three-person killing spree, Imeson had a "big blow out fight" with the mother of his daughter, and said he was coming to take the little girl, police confirmed.
The three murders have garnered so much attention that a crew from America's Most Wanted was in Windsor Monday filming a story for this Saturday's TV show.
"We can make the assumption he might be coming back to this area because his family is here," said Staff Sgt. William Donnelly. ". . . That is a guess that anybody could make."
Imeson, 22, is wanted for the strangling of Windsor bartender Carlos Rivera and the shooting deaths of Bill and Helene Regier of Huron County.
Police launched a man hunt July 19 after finding Rivera, 25, dead in Imeson's apartment. The Regiers were found July 23 in their farm house near Mount Carmel, Ont. about 50 kilometres northwest of London, Ont.
Donnelly said the mother of Imeson's daughter had been in hiding out of fear for her safety, but he wouldn't say if she's in protective custody.
"It's her personal life," he said. "What she wants to comment on is up to her."
Imeson and the woman had a domestic argument four days before he allegedly killed Rivera, Donnelly said, and the woman has the conversation on tape.
Donnelly also wouldn't say whether Imeson has contacted the woman or any of his family members since being on the run.
"This a pretty major manhunt," said producer AMW Paula Simpson, who flew in Monday from Washington, D.C. "This is a big deal for everybody in Canada and we understand that. It's certainly a big deal in Huron County. I've had several people tell me that it's innocence lost. We're doing everything we can to get that innocence back and get some justice for these three victims."
America's Most Wanted gave Imeson a short mention on last Saturday's program, and plans to run a longer feature this weekend.
As the manhunt goes on longer and longer, Donnelly said AMW's resources and audience of millions of people is becoming increasingly vital to capture the fugitive.
"The search area is so wide, that every day we literally add hundreds if not thousands of miles," said Donnelly.
Simpson said AMW has received several calls a day since Imeson was briefly mentioned on the show over the weekend. She said it's company policy not to reveal the actual number of tips or their content.
"We don't have any interest in tipping off fugitives as to what is known and not known about them," said Simpson. "I will say we've got several tips that the cops have been following up on."
After filming in Windsor on Monday, the crew was to head to Exeter, Ont., today to gather information about the Regier murders.
Also on Monday, hundreds of mourners packed Our Lady of Mount Carmel church on Monday to pay their final respects to the Regiers.
Along with a congregation that filled the church past its capacity, the funeral service featured words of tribute from three of the Regiers' grandchildren, who addressed the public for the first time since the couple were discovered shot dead.
Describing his grandparents - William, 72, and Helene, 73 - as "inseparable," Nathan Regier said there is a silver lining to be found in their tragic passing in that he believes they are at the gates of heaven together.
"Their love was so strong that not even death could tear them apart from each other," he said to the audience in a voice choked with emotion.
Mount Carmel priest Father Ray Lawhead said he'd never seen so many people at the church in his three years with the parish. "Never like this," Lawhead said. "It's amazing. It's a testament to the love the community has for Bill and Helene."
Police believe that after the Rivera murder, Imeson took the victim's car and travelled to Huron County, about two hours north of Windsor on the southeastern shore of Lake Huron.
Authorities also believe Imeson stole the Regiers' silver 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck after their murders and may still be using it.
Police have released additional information about the truck and are asking parking lot attendants, building superintendents and commuters to keep their eyes open for the truck in case it has been abandoned.
The truck is a 2006 GMC Sierra Z 71 four-door model. It has the Ontario licence plate JK8 334.
Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Imeson's arrest and created a dedicated line for tips in the case at 1-877-584-8477
