Probably not a lot of presents under the trees. I would think being left in the burning town would have been a worse fate. They capture all the barmaids and whisk them off somewhere?

They so enraged the male population that was mostly not there, that night, that they and the resident garrison retaliated by moving along the US side of the driver, burning every village and town along the Frontier ... Youngstown, Lewiston, Niagara Falls, Buffalo were all burnt. The villge of the Tuscarora allies of the US Army was burnt to the ground, their corn crop was burnt to the ground and they ended up starving.

No barmaids.
