The " they hate our freedom" is quite hilarious, the only one who try to get freedoms away, are governements.

You might try and argue with the way this freedom is being protected but it is still a fact. You have the freedom to post all the nonsense you want for the most part. Your wife can work and drive a car.

al queada would like your thinking controlled where you are reading and memorizing the Koran all day. Where your wife has no liberty outside reproduction. Where you for writing nonsense like you do would be executed.

On close examination you will realize you have a lot of freedom and that is provided by government.

Approximately 35,000 children starved to death yesterday. Its funny where priorities lie. Excuse me if I'm a little more concerned about those children. It's a shame they don't make the news. That way, Wally might care a little more.

You were also very concerned for the 3 million Afghans who faced certain starvation under the Taliban. Or have you forgot of the new development projects in Africa over the last 5 years. You may want to look at the attacks on Bono and Bob Geldof by the left for working on these projects with the Bush administration.

You are only interested in starving people if you can make a point politically. Or maybe like Chomsky make millions describing their misery. The left has failed in the war against hunger and poverty.

This is a very simple point. The terrorism we are facing is not a fight to alleviate poverty. You seem very confused about this. If it was bin Laden would have fed the millions in Afghanistan.

It's not up to Al Qeada to decide who gets to be in "their" lands. Americans were in Saudi Arabia at the behest of the Saudi government. There are British, American and German soldiers in Canada currently, by invitation of the Canadian government. Are you saying it's OK for me and my buddies to start killing these soldiers, because we don't like them being in "our" land.

Oh really? There was a thread here just a week or so ago that acknowledged him as the ideological inspiration for Al Qaeda. Also, I've never heard of Qutb espousing the adoption of western values. It was his dissgust at western values that he claimed motivated him. Maybe we're talking about different Qutb's.

Research one of the founders of what you would call Islamic Extremists: Qutb.

But that's not important. Why not do some research and educate us about how Qutb's espousal of western values earned him the scorn of Islamic extremeists. I'd be very interested in that.
