Britain says that her Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales, currently docked in Italy, is on five days' notice to defend Britain and ten days' notice to come to the aid of a fellow NATO member.

Remarkably, half the ship's crew are under the age of 25.

The Royal Navy carrier and her Carrier Strike Group has been touring the world testing out dangerous areas.

Italians seemed intrigued at the mighty British ship as she lurked off their country's southern coast.

Drone footage shows British aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales and British destroyer HMS Dauntless in the Bay of Naples off southern Italy.

The two are amongst the most powerful warships in the world.

The Prince of Wales can carry up to 65 aircraft of varying types and is currently bristling with F-35Bs, just about the most advanced and powerful fighter jets in the world.

The Dauntless, like the other destroyers in her class, is capable of shooting down missiles the size of tennis balls travelling at the speed of sound, which means that it's almost impossible to hit a British destroyer.

The two Royal Navy warships arrived off the coast of Italy after taking part in Operation Falcon Strike with warships from NATO allies USA, France, Italy and Greece.
