Brain experiment suggests that consciousness relies on quantum entanglement
Maybe the brain isn't "classical" after all.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
Most neuroscientists believe that the brain operates in a classical manner.
However, if brain processes rely on quantum mechanics,
it could explain why our brains are so powerful.
A team of researchers possibly witnessed entanglement in the brain,
perhaps indicating that some of our brain activity, and maybe even
consciousness, operates on a quantum level.
-------
Our brains are amazingly powerful computers, using not just neurons
but the connections between the neurons to process and interpret information.
Some scientists suspect that quantum processes, including entanglement,
might help us explain the brain’s enormous power, and its ability to generate consciousness.

Quantum processes in the brain
Amazingly, we have seen some hints that quantum mechanisms are at work in our brains.
Despite such intriguing findings, the brain is largely assumed to be a classical system.
If quantum processes are at work in the brain, it would be difficult
to observe how they work and what they do.

One person has consciousness in the brain (logical thinking)
One person has consciousness in the heart (creates feelings, emotions)
One person has consciousness in the ears (TV influence)
One person has consciousness in the genitals (sexual arousal)
One person has consciousness in the place where he sits.
One person thinks that consciousness has a cosmic nature:
“Consciousness is not just the interaction of neurotransmitters in the brain,
it also has some kind of quantum cosmic component.”

As the ancients said, the conscious is everywhere.

I honestly don't think you get any of this.

In any case, it's long been believed and pretty much confirmed that quantum processes effect some of the hardware that is involved with our thoughts. Claiming that our 'consciousness' itself was quantum would require a great deal more evidence and a better definition of 'consciousness'. Like what does that even mean.

You generally see this pop up more in discussions about 'free will'. Which also suffers from a similar definition issue.

in any case while quantum processes such as tunneling and entanglement are part of our brain, it would probably be more reasonable to presume that our consciousness is not quantum, but the quantum world plays a role in our consciousness. We do know or at least strongly believe that quantum mechanics plays a larger role in many other animals brains so it probably does in ours.

26 June 2023. How does consciousness arise?
A 25-year-old bet has now been decided
Twenty-five years ago, a neuroscientist and a philosopher bet a case of fine wine
on whether scientists would have cracked the neural basis of consciousness by 2023.
Now, one of them conceded the prize

Brain - Mind
-----
Our brain works on a dualistic basis:
usually consciousness and rarely subconsciousness.
------
1 – Consciousness of the brain works on various
electromagnetic energy fields (alpha, beta, . . . etc.)
An electroencephalogram (EEG) can record this ''normal logical'' electrical
activity of the brain (brain works as computer - "Turing Machine")
2 – Subconsciousness is process on micro-quantum-level
(brain suddenly takes a new decision / action - "eureka")
The reason of unconscious process is quantum particle .
Suggestion:
According to the Pauli Exclusion Principle, only one (1) electron
can manage an atom, molecule, cell, brain.
-----
a) Quantum process appears when all atoms of brain are
in Bose-Einstein state (superfluidity).
b) Then the electron gains strength to ''superconductivity'' and
can change the old brain's program to a new decision - "eureka".
New decision is result of - a "Self-quantum particle".
c) After a short moment- "eureka" the brain again works like a computer.
(but according to a new program)

without recourse to the concept of consciousness.''

In my experience of crows, they're smarter than the large majority of 40-year-old humans.

Australian researchers have clocked the IQs of crows as high as 70.

In the U.S., with an IQ of 70, you can vote.

When given the chance to peck on symbols that carried different probabilities of getting food,
carrion crows learned to choose the one with a higher probability of reward. /By Sofia Quaglia/
