Yes I have and there certainly are a lot of products sold at Canadian Tire that are made in China. Mores the pity......most of it is junk. Generally speaking, if you buy something at Canadian Tire, six months or a year down the road they will still sell that item and stand behind it Not so with Wal-Mart. Buy it now. If it breaks, buy another one almost like it.....but don't expect any kind of warrantee from Wal-Mart

i have argued with managers that the roll back sign is sort of pointing to this iron and have gotten 40 dollars off the iron

I have also taken back used old weather stripping to crappy tire and gotten new ...without a bill.....

any mastercraft screwdriver that gets worn....robertson notorious for this if you use it everyday....comes wityh a life time warranty...i bought one 30 years ago and am on my 4th or 5th......

crappy tire is more expensive on some stuff ...i have gottn great bargains at crappy tire......i love wandering the sports section and auto section at crappy tire.......

i love running through wal mart for cheap bounty....and dove soap....

#juan...what are you on about....it's wal mart ...it's american...it's candaian tire ....i think an american company bought it out or almost did.....who cares.....Cominco is in the congo supplying arms to war lords for mining rights:roll:8O:roll:

Good God.... It's a fashion thing. this all ties into the commercialism of Christmas. "what kind of crap can we sell the masses this year?" As a 'holiday' that is steeped in absolutely no solid tradition at all anymore, i don't see what the hell it matters what colour the tree is. How is this different from those god-awful white or silver trees they have? people have different tastes, let them put different things in their homes.

Fact is, the black trees will stay as long as people keep buying them. and people will buy ANYTHING if it's associated with christmas.

my family always chose a colour scheme for decorations before starting the task. usually three colours, for instance red blue and silver, or gren red and gold. I like to restrict the decorating to a few colours or it just all blurs together into a mess. Another thing I try to avoid is dumping big thick bits of tinsel onto the tree. It removes the natural shape of the tree itself. If the thick sections are used at all they should be deep inside the branches to reflect the lights. Overall I prefer lametta strands, but we can't use those any more since one year the cat ate a bunch of them and walked around the house with his poo hanging out of his bum on a tinsel thread.
Picturing the cat in my imagination and LOL.

I don't do the Christmas decorations at all, just my small nativity set goes up on the coffee table each year. Everything else available seems too cheesy for my tastes.
