The Biden administration has been silent on a human smuggling attempt, which ended in multiple fatalities.

The U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector recently announced two migrants drown while trying to cross the Rio Grande, which is one of the main rivers located in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

According to officials, this recent incident occurred after a group of people exited a vehicle and then attempted to swim to Mexico.

Critics have said Joe Biden is encouraging immigrants to cross the border illegally by rescinding President Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy.

While Customs and Border Protection has not yet released a statement, several people are reportedly in custody following the incident and an investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, thousands of illegal aliens have established a tent city in Tijuana, Mexico as they wait their turn to attempt crossing the U.S. border.

Some of the migrants claimed, Joe Biden promised to let them in to the U.S. and give immigration status to everyone. This notion inspired them to amass at the southern border. They also noted, Mexico does not support their presence at the border anymore.

“President Biden needs to send us an organization or the U.S. authorities…that they represent us because on the contrary, the Mexican authorities, the only thing we have received from them is indifference,” stated Janina Medina, a Honduran migrant. “Please, we need to be heard.”

The majority of migrants admitted the only reason this border surge has taken place is because Biden is currently in the White House.

Former President Donald Trump released a statement Sunday critical of President Joe Biden's border policies, which Trump described as a "national disaster."

Trump said his administration handed Biden "the most secure border in history," only to see it all thrown away in just a few weeks following Biden's reversal of most of Trump's policies through executive orders.

Those orders have allowed undocumented immigrants to cross into the United States while awaiting asylum requests and have flooded holding facilities with thousands of unaccompanied children.,,,,More

Stephen Miller attacked President Biden’s immigration policies, warning they are “morally monstrous” and “indefensible” as the crisis on the U.S.– Mexico border continues to grow.

“What humanitarian principle is served by rewarding and encouraging the brutal monstrous trafficking of minors? What value or humanitarian principle is served by making it easier for criminal organizations to savagely assault innocent men, women, and children, for-profit, because that is what is happening right now,” Miller told Fox News's Maria Bartiromo in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s assertion that Biden’s immigration plan was “ values-based.”

The former special adviser to former President Donald Trump also took issue with comments made by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who asserted that the border was “closed,” accusing Mayorkas of “blatantly lying.”

“We have a crisis, a spiraling, massive, growing, surging crisis for one very simple reason: The Biden administration terminated all of [Trump’s policies] to adopt a policy of catch and release. And so when Mayorkas says, as he did today, that the border is closed, he is lying,” Miller said.

Former President Donald Trump slammed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who spent Sunday morning defending the Biden administration's handling of the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The latest tweemail from the 45th president, who was permanently banned from Twitter after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, came after Mayorkas appeared on CNN's State of the Union, Fox News Sunday, NBC's Meet the Press, and ABC's This Week, and made headlines for blaming the Trump administration for the surge of migrants trying to enter the country rather than policies adopted by President Biden.

Trump zeroed in on "catch and release" policies, in which authorities detain illegal immigrants and then release them with notices to appear in court, called for an inquiry into allegations of a "gag order" limiting press access, and urged Biden to continue construction of a border wall.

"The pathetic, clueless performance of Secretary Mayorkas on the Sunday Shows today was a national disgrace. His self-satisfied presentation — in the middle of the massive crisis he helped engineer — is yet more proof he is incapable of leading DHS," Trump wrote in the statement sent through his office in Florida. "Even someone of Mayorkas’ limited abilities should understand that if you provide Catch-and-Release to the world’s illegal aliens then the whole world will come."
