I'm pretty sure the president and the governor do not have the authority to declare martial law in the city of New Orleans, unless it's called for the entire country or entire state. I'm no constitutional expert though, may want to do a goodle.![]()
Martial Law here in Louisiana Means:
1. Curfew may be imposed by fiat (here in Lafourche Parish it is 9pm to 6 am). (Orleans is dusk to dawn)
2. Since the courts have been suspended, any person aprehended by the police may be held until either:
A. End of martial law.
B. A Court can be appointed, our court in Lafourche Parish is
now considered to be a filing court for New Orleans (Orleans
Parish and Jefferson Parish). So bond hearings may be held
here!
3. The orders "Shoot to Kill" are what the media pasted on Blanco, she later clarified it to mean, "with all neccessary force and deliberation". After the Gangbangers fired upon the National Guard at the Danzinger Bridge, most BS stopped!
4. All national guard here are locked and loaded but then we know that and no ones tries to run a stop light!
