The ferry was nice enough provide free coffee to the passengers who'll have to sit on the vessel for the next 4-5 hrs.

What a horrendous situation for a long weekend

I'm sure the Captain ordered the Helmsman to avoid the Ferry dock at all costs - would have shut down the ferry for WEEKS!

At least so far nobody is reported dead. I remember a ferry accident years ago that killed an entire family from my hometown except the father. The ferry pulled away while their van was still on the ramp, and the van fell into the ocean and they drown. The mother and 1 of her daughters died on the scene, and the other daughter died in hospital weeks later.
