Hey everyone,

A bunch of us have put together a web site:

http://www.onmay17.com

(It's a good-size flash clip so give it time to load.)

When we tried to buy some ads in traditional media, they turned us down saying "we may offend some policital parties".

Really now. After spending the past 20 years listening to Joy McFailure, this couldn't come close to offensive.

We'd like everyone to check out our site and refer or forward the address to everyone you know. We're aiming to reach 100,000 visitors over the next few weeks.

Anyone with media contacts is welcome to help get us some exposure.

Thanks in advance for your support.

RE: BC election web site

So does anybody know any NDP spinmeisters out in BC? God knows the fake liberals have more than a couple. How much are they paid? Well, way more than they are worth given their amateirish antics and brutal ineptitude.

Mr. Blair,

If you're going to call me names, can you at least spell them correctly?

With respect to your comments, you can call our "antics" whatever you wish, but the only people with ineptitude are your beloved NDP family.

Both the clip and site were made using real facts, real figures, and no spin whatsoever. The reality is the NDP are about as bad as they come and do not deserve to EVER sit in the legislature ever again.

Not even the 2 seats they had until last week.

You are supporting a party that lied, and still lies.

You are supporting a party where children were murdered while in it's care.

You are supporting a party that has welcomed back with open arms, some of the very people in government that saw 8 straight deficits, the fast ferry fiasco, Bingo-gate, Casino-gate, Hydro-gate, et al.

You are supporting a party that has no moral fiber and if you are a Reverend as your name suggests, I would like to think you would have been offended when the NDP slapped a 3 month residency requirement on welfare recipients and cut welfare rolls considerably in 1996-1997.

Yes these same people are back and you are here calling us inept?

You may think the sight is amateurish (correct spelling), however sites and clips like this have a higher impression rate then all the mail you're going to receive from anyone seeking a seat in Victoria.

Perhaps you're the amateur.

Ps. And we're doing this all because none of us want the NDP ever elected again. No charge!

Perhaps you are yet another paid worker for the BC Liberals. You'd be the second on the site.

If you want to discuss politcs, that's dandy. You'll find that's happening. If you want to spin without discussion or dissent, which is what you're trying to do, it ain't gonna happen.

Mr. Blair,

I've already made it clear I am not paid by the BC Liberals for anything.

I put many points in my last posting and YOU chose not to debate or discuss my comments.

Perhaps it's you that wants to spin without debate or dissent!

I notice you're from Winnipeg. Are you really that well informed on the BC NDP or do your party lines automatically inspire you to fight for the cause?

Really now, you're going to question my integrity and information when you don't even live in the province.

Nope, I've been staying out of the BC election for the most part. I don't stay out of spin though and I'd like to reiterate.

Don't you watch the news? What was the first thing Campbell did to welfare.

1) You have a 30 day waiting period from when you go into office until you can see a worker to even apply.

2)They lowered the childs age single parents could collect until. from age 7 to 3 (This effects mostly females)

3) Can only collect for two out of 5 years.

4) Cut back what people on disabilities get, then gave a token 75$ month raise last December. Election coming up I guess.

5) Reduced the rates for people over 55 and couples.

6) Submitted regularlpeople with mental torture by saying so many were to be cut off in April 2004, but later relented at last minute.

You are supporting a party that lied, and still lies.

There was no conviction. But Campbell was not going to privative and sell off crown corperations, but he did.

You are supporting a party where children were murdered while in it's care.

Oh For christ sakes, thats is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Kids are murdered every year in every province.

Not even the 2 seats they had until last week.

Actually it is 3.

It gave me a good laugh, I almost pissed myself.

Obsessive Compulsive,

Your reply doesn't even warrant the effort or a rebuttal.

You diehard NDP supporters have trouble admitting even the facts that your new party leader admits to.

Get a grip on reality. Really now. Carole James has at least admitted the problems and says she wants to clean them up.

The problem with that is the fact that SHE CAN'T and WON"T be successful. Have a read of Vaugn Palmer in the Sun today, even he thinks she'll fail at reforming the NDP.

So you NDPers are out there supporting a leader who is out on the campaign trail, saying that she's making changes, and the truth is that she's not.

Blame old Gordo all you want, it doesn't change the disaster of a party the NDP was, is, and will continue to be.

RE: BC election web site

The Vancouver media is all owned by Canwest( 3 major dailies, TV etc) and they always kiss Liberals ass and rarely if ever say anything positive about NDP.

I have only been a die hard NDP voter for 17 years and the two years before that (when I was legal age to vote) I was leaning Reform, Social credit, Conservative until I grew up/ matured a bit and saw the real world. I guess those two years was my rebellious youth.

I Lived in Kamloops, Fort. St. John, Winnipeg, Calgary before moving back home to Vancouver and saw various social ills committed by conservative governments.

But what really turned me to the left (most of my family supports NDP) Was going to a Reform Party nomination meeting and saw that instead of being a western "protest" party (same concept as BQ) I found out I was in a room full of racist pricks who's views make the KKK look like angels. Every wing nut imaginable came out of the wood work.

I was open minded and did not want to support the same party as my parents, so I checked them all out, with an open mind and saw the NDP was the best fit for me.

I believe in equality and if people have problems (drug addiction, Prostitution) they should be able to get help and not thrown in jail. I at least have compassion for my fellow man/woman.

The right basically turned me left with their policies and racist/ archaic views.
