Makes perfect sense. SInce they obviously didn't do a very good job of running the company prior to bankruptcy maybe a cash incentive is needed to get them to do their jobs.The proper thing to do is give them their bonus in stock options.

Oddly enough, I was talking to a woman here yesterday who used to work at the local Sears store (for many years). She actually agreed that it made sense to pay bonuses to management to keep them through the liquidation process. I think she's crazy. But she mentioned that they had to hire new staff for the liquidation, because so many others were leaving.
