After I'm finished watching B5 and then the B5 movies (I'm on season 3 btw), I'm going to watch seasons 2-5 of enterprise (I'm ready to be disappointed), and then I'm thinking about battlestar. I'm not a fan of the orginal battlestar but from what I've seen of the new one it's not that bad. Only a little far fetch for me though, but still looks entertaining.

well I wasn't big on the original series either, but the friend who recommended it sez it explores lots of issues so I'm looking forward to it....if I get to watching it before you do I'll try to remember to post my thoughts on it.

I was drinking diet Dr Peper at my work station and almost spat up on the moniter when I saw that. Too good!!!!

Of course I agree with you Johnny Utah, with the fact that B5 is the best sci-fi out there. Besides the main and sub story archs, I think what makes B5 stand out is how really human it is. When you look at Star Trek, TNG for example, it truly is some kind of Communist world they live in. No money, no need, no wealth, no poor no conflic between humans and capitalism in a human being is seen as very strange and alien. where in B5 it is a lot more realistic to how humans interect with each other. I think which makes B5 stand out is how it truly captured the human being. The only thing human in Star Trek is the look. Also the problem with Star Trek is everyone in general, including the races seem to be generalized. In B5 there is more of a living world with individuels. Truly TNG is the communist vision for the future while B5 is the realistic vision of the future.

=-)
Yes that video was beyond funny, which is why I am a fan of Youtube.com

You're right B5 is more realistic in how Humans explore space, no transporters etc. Star Trek's philosophy isn't really a Communist way of living it's more of how all Humans regardless of color, race, beliefs etc come together as one..

The Federation may not have a need for wealth etc but the Ferengi's do as other species which made it work because as not all bowed to the Federation way of thinking and were not treated different because of it. The Klingons were like the Samurai where duty and honor was their way of life..

The best episodes in Star Trek were the Mirror ones on the original, DS9 and Enterprise. Those episodes were like Sliders..

God I am Geek and Nerd..

Here's ITN's Borg Queen Babe.. 8O

ITN's feelings towards the Borg Queen.. :p

Well thats sorta my point, the Aliens in Star Trek were more human at times then the humans, if you know what I mean.

ah maybe I'm just too much of a pessimist, and B5 fits my idea of the future better then Star Trek. lol.
(almost finished season 3... you know I could have sworn things I've seen in season 3 were from season four.)
