Ok a new thread on a slightly different topic.

I put on order at HMV Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers
Without giving away what happens is this movie any good. I enjoyed the other B5 movies creatly. I can't say any of them were bad, none of them were great however. I also think they were missing a movie or a episode in the sesons. Does anyone know when that episode which cronicles what happens to earth in the future such as the "burning" up to when humans go to the rim? I didn't catch it in the fifth seasons and the movies edition didn't have it either!!?? but I watched it on TV like 6 (or so) years ago or more.

Also I saw they have crusade out on DVD. I know they canceled it after only 13 episodes. how was it, should I buy it will I be disappointed that the show was good and the arch was not completed... or do they complete it knowing it was going to be canceled. Because I know the show was made to be on a 5 year story arch too?

Please don't give away spoilers.

Plot Summary for
Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight (2002) (TV)

After being punished for retreat from combat, Ranger David Martel is given command of the Liandra, a haunted 20-year old Minbari fighting ship. He's escorting ambassadors to a secret archaeological site, the oldest city on record and a clue to a dangerous ancient race.

Summary written by E. Selma

Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers takes place in 2264 after the wars are over and a new age of space exploration has begun. The Interstellar Alliance has been organized to establish and maintain peace among its member worlds, including Earth. The Rangers are an elite military force made up of hand-picked young, smart, dedicated human and alien members who combine the high-tech elements of space travel with the idealism and honor of the knights of old. They encounter a previously unknown alien race whose lethal power is far greater than any force previously known to Earth or any other world in the Interstellar Alliance.

From the time line it looks like it takes place before Crusade which is somewhat odd since they were thinking about making this into the replacement for crusade. which appears not to be happening.

I've not seen too many good reviews for this but the guy at HMV said he had a few on back order for a few people.

It does however have a bit part in the movie for G'gar, who actually died this year so, well him being my favorite actor and char in b5, is just enough to buy the movie by itself.

Do you know anything about Crusade? From what I read it never got a real chance and they had to make the 13 episodes in a way which ruined much of the story arch.

Thanks, I take reviews with a grain of salt as I rely on word of mouth more..

yeah here. I'm hoping crusade will be worth it. I'm such a big fan of B5 I think there is no way I can't buy it. I've already ordered the last B5 movie. It also doesn't have the best reviews. but then again I don't really care I guess. Though I'd love to hear what some othwer b5 fans have to say about both Crusade and legand of the rangers

Ok my order on LotR-B5 is in and I'm ready to pick it up tomorrow morning and then watch it and hopefully not be too disappointed by it. At least G'gar is in it, somewhat.

I just finished watching the last B5 movie, legand of the rangers. Was pretty good. I know why they didn't use the older ships in it because of the lost data, but I do wish they had explained things better in the story arch, makes you feel as if they just made changes without explaining them. I mean you see not one white-star, not one ship you are used to and like watching something completely different.

Besides that minor complaint, the only other complaint I have is the way the main ship in this movie used it's firing systems. That was just...... stupid (without using an offensive word).
