I think that B.C. and alaska should trade lands in the disputed S.E.alaska region. B.C. will give alaska the tat'/alsek triangular region in the far north-west corner of B.C. which is closer to alaska(just north-west of skagway) and in return alaska would give B.C. the "misty fiords national monument" from the current portland canal boundary to the mountains just north of the unuk river, which is much more accesible to B.C. and would give canadians salmon fishing rights around misty-fiords including the unuk river,it would also turn hyder alaska and stewart B.C. into one canadian town. if you think this would be a logical modern day land trade and you think that british columbia was robbed of land north-west of stewart B.C. in 1903, so that the current boundary should be moved, then write to the governments NOW !!!! :evil3:

the USA isnt renowned for giving up land to other countries. Much more likely to decide to take BC and Alberta for the oil, make up a story about a dictator, or put one there, declare war on terrorism, again, kill everyone in the major cities and move in, leaving the place in ruins with just the oil patch, some industry and heavily guarded pipelines down the coast

well maybe the towns folk living in Hyder Alaska would like to also be canadian, they get their electricity from B.C. and send their kids to school in stewart B.C. I just want MISTY FIORDS for the salmon around it, including the unuk river.
