Just what in the hell has been going on down there?


The head of the ATF has been removed after months of speculation about his role in a botched gun-tracking operation that could have contributed to the death of a Border Patrol agent.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Tuesday that acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Kenneth Melson was being replaced. Melson is being transferred to the Office of Legal Policy, where he will be a senior adviser.



U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota Todd Jones will take over as acting ATF director, according to the Department of Justice.
In a simultaneous move, the U.S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, announced his resignation on Tuesday. Burke oversaw the legal aspects of the Fast and Furious operation, providing advice to agents involved.

Simple really.......

The current US government couldn't care less how many innocents the monsters of the Mexican drug cartels shoot dead while fighting over the mountains of cash they get from the lucrative business of supplying Democrats with drugs.......

What they DO care about is undermining the Constitution of the United States in general, and the Second Amendment in particular. The best propaganda blitz they have enjoyed lately has been the use of a small number of smuggled US guns in the drug wars down south, leading to calls for strict restrictions on the sale of assault rifles and handguns.........the more guns that can be traced to the USA from Mexico, the louder those calls are apt to get.......unfortunately, the majority of Mexican AKs come from underground sources in South America......

Sooooooo.....they engage in a open door policy that allows law breakers easy access to US weapons, and does not hinder their passing into Mexico in any way..............

Then it backfires when a US Agent gets killed, and they get caught with their pants down trying to take the constitution up the arse......

Simple really.
