Aston Villa fan Prince William was greeted by fellow Villa fans after they won the Europa League in Istanbul, Villa's first European trophy since the European Cup in 1982.

Prince William, 43, has slso been President of the English FA for 20 years. He was born in the year Villa won the European Cup.

2026 could see English teams winning all three European tournaments, with Crystal Palace in the Conference League Final and Arsenal in the Champions League Final.

Whatever your thoughts on the monarchy, there's no denying that the Prince of Wales and Heir to the Throne is a nice guy.

He may be our next monarch but he was just one of the lads talking about the match after the final whistle...

The Prince of Wales and future King took time off work to watch the sport he loves.

The FA President was seen celebrating in the stands as his team Aston Villa won their first major trophy since 1996 and their first European trophy since 1982.
