Tube steak. Intersting stuff that. Full of....body parts not easily sold otherwise. Although I do very much like the intestine bag they come in. Yummi! Bulk weiners taste better. Although I haven't had a REAL hotdog in a long time. We mostly eat tofu or veggie dogs now.

My grandmother would always invite us over for tongue soup and tongue sandwhiches. Disgusting. I'd have been tempted if it hadn't actually looked like a cow tongue!

spam. Fried. delicious. Bologna fried. Very good. Especially when you're low on sulphites and preservatives. Must maintain proper levels or you might get old.

Well I guess I have not had a REAL hot dog either in a long time. I eat the veggie and tofu dogs to. You cannot even tell the difference, I have tired it on a few confirmed carnivors. They did not know they were even eating a veggie dog :p St. Ives makes the best.
Oh! pandora's box telling people twila, how those weiners are made 8O "mechanically deboned" has a whole new meaning for me now  Yummy :p

I still eat meat, chicken---free range only!, I eat real fish...the ones that don't eat pellets. I eat a steak sometimes...but I get any beef from a local butcher. Really do people really eat meat everyday? I don't know anyone that does.

RE: Asking the 20th Centu

I eat meat every single day, Peapod. So do most people I know. Not usually hot dogs though. I like those big smokie dogs they sell off carts downtown....smother 'em in onions and mustard and there are few things tastier.

St. Ives makes the best.

I agree. They are the best. My daughter likes them better then the real deal too. Thankfully! With veggie dogs you don't even need worry about a "rounded" meal. They're loaded with good stuff! I couldn't imagine eating meat with every meal.

I'm a roast beef fan myself (actually just the gravy part with yorkshire pudding). Can't do the steak thing. Childhood trauma/tough steak/long night at the table.

You want steak trauma? Try a tough steak at a place you have to be polite when you just got your new dentures. I thought I was going to die that night.

You know what's really good? Fry a pound of hamburger, mix it in with some Kraft Dinner and top it off with stewed tomatoes. Oh, and make sure you use Cheez Whiz in the KD.

Thanks rev, I have no words.....for your culinary cuisine 8O :p
Twila have you tried St. Ives ground round? You cannot tell the difference between it and hamburger. Its great in chili. I suppose those rumors you hear on the news must have some truth. British columbians are the healthiest and most fit of canadians. Gee that plus the most beautiful province in canada. :p
