The point Rev is, although Arnold may have taken performance enhancing drugs back in his day, he did nothing illegal.

The point is that LSD 25 was legal too. Do you think Tim Leary should have been in charge? He was far better qualified.

I do not use it as an oppressive racial symbol

it is a racist and oppressive symbol. The only way you can use it as anything else is to light it on fire.

Isn't that what the US Stars and stripes flag is for??

Symbolism reflects the ideas and ideology to the masses. You may see it as one thing, but you're outnumbered in the greater understanding of a symbol.

Do some history. The canadian flag in those times was the bloody UNION JACK on a red field...they kinda changed that around 67 to it's current form.

Yes it symbolized british colonial rule and minset. We were wise to be rid of that particular symbol.

Thar ye go Shewtin off agin.

The Dixie Flag (also called the Navy Jack) is an accepted part of our heritage/history. It is displayed in many locations across the southern US. As an example, it is displayed over a monument on the state house grounds of South Carolina.

Also, the state flags of Mississippi and Georgia incorporate the Dixie flag.

Don't forget the Dukes of Hazzard back in the 1970's. They had the Dixie flag painted on the roof of their 1969 Dodge Charger.

BTW,Arnie's daddy was a Nazi police chief in his native Austria, and you know that old saying "the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree". Some Americans even want this "actor' to be in the presidential race. Unbelievable! :?

If Arnie did do years of steroid use, many studies have shown that users have extremely low sperm counts and little bitty gonads-therefore,Arnie is truly a "girly man".

That flag is used by the KKK and represents a racist and murderous past of the states it supposedly represents. I'm not going to allow it to stick.

It is conservatively estimated that 50,000 black Confederate soldiers served and fought for the same reasons as their white counterparts.

They felt that the South was their home, too. Whether slave or free, each had a stake in the society and each had a home they felt patriotism for.

In one case, shortly after the outbreak of War, Charleston blacks cheered at the possibility that they would be allowed to shoot Yankees.

I guess they hated America's freedom, too.

Perhaps if the brainy types who have latched onto a racist rag as a beloved part of their heritage had remembered that curiosity from their Civil War, they might have insisted that American troops in Iraq were provided with body armour capable of stopping something more perilous than an exuberant pelting of flowers.
