Arlington TX Police Surround Suspected Shooter
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Arlington Police have surrounded an apartment building where a shooting suspect has barricaded himself inside.
The suspect fired shots at police early Monday morning. Authorities are now trying to negotiate with the man.
Police have not specified how many victims were injured during the early morning shooting, though multiple ambulances are on scene.
SWAT officers are now on scene, as officers are helping residents of the surrounding apartments evacuate. Grand Prairie Police have also responded to assist at the scene.
Police initially responded to a shots fired call around 6 a.m. at the apartment complex in the 1100 block of Silverwood Drive at Avenue J.
There are no details on the conditions of the victims.
The Arlington ISD has re-routed school buses in the area. Spokesman Leslie Johnston says the district does have students who live in the complex. The district is working in conjunction with Arlington Police to determine when they can safely pick up the students.

Huh, I hear a bunch of police cars wizzing by and turn on the TV to find just down the road the is a nut job held up in an Apartment Complex over by 360 & I30
I hope they take him out in a body bag, he has already injured people.. The very reason I sleep with my .40 S&W very handy to my bed.
