Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak says for many people the loss of privacy that comes with having a Facebook profile is not worth it.

A lot to unpack here.
First I find it interesting that he says that Apple has better ways to share things etc. So he's obviously shilling for himself and his company.
Second, his talk about Alexa is disingenuous because Siri is just as bad.
Overall he is correct. It's up to you to work Facebook for yourself and share what you feel comfortable with. Otherwise the negatives outweigh the positives. I have my security settings specifically made for me, no newsfeed for example, and I only share what I want to share. People have to realize that the default settings for it are not tailored for them but for Facebook. They also have to realize that companies like Facebook and Apple are out for themselves so you have to learn some self restraint and pay attention to what you post or share. Also, you don't have to join every social media out there. example, I only use Facebook. not IG, Twittter, snapchat, tik tok etc.
Overall, the rule of thumb is, do what is right for you, don't expect others to do it for you, and guard your own privacy..
