U.S. television network switching from analogue to digital on Feb. 17th. We use Shaw cable and last month we bought a little digital box from Shaw. I understand that some networks will still broadcast in analogue until June but it sounds like rooftop antennas are on the way out.....Comments?

Some Canadians might lose U.S. TV signals as of Feb. 17

They sell converters. Cable hasn't reached into the deep boonies yet and satellite doesn't always work on those days you need it most. Older analogue TVs will likely go the way of slide-scale FM. They sorta work ... but very ghostly.

I have no experience with satellite systems other than what my son tells me. He says his satellite service is more reliable than the cable system he had used previously. Shaw bundled our internet and our tv cable for a marginally better price than buying the two separately. We still haven't found all the channels they say we get...
