These drugs have a history. I recall a Murdoch Mystery show where vets returning from the Boer war were affected by some kind of concoction they took over there for Malaria.
Yes it's a TV show but it was based on something that indeed happened.....

But the drug company got a lot of taxpayer's money which was the desired effect. Probably they will now come up with an antidote for the side effects of the drug. For a price of course.
