I don't stick up for Martin. I don't stick up for lynch mobs. i don't stick up for conspiracy theorists. I do stick up for evidence and truth. Present some.

A link posted earlier on Andrew Coyne's website but quickly yanked alleged a connection between the Oil for Food kickbacks, Maurice Strong, and Canada Steamships - Paul Martin's company. This could be the sh!tstorm coming that the Liberal senator was hinting at? Rumours, I know, but still fun!

This was on the news a few weeks ago and based on the information this provided, there was a smoking gun that firmly linked Strong and Chretien. Part of this also includes Power Corp, which had ties to how the the money in the Oil for Food kickbacks were distributed. Of course it is just a coincidence that Chretiens son, I believe (or son in law) is a major push in Power Corp. This all tied into the UN, and the allegation was made that this was why Chretien was so insistent on following the UN in the Iraq war, and his non-support of the US was this, plain and simple. However, this has just been below the radar of the Canadian media, and given how much the CBC loves the liberals, I guess it is not surprising that they have not reported on this. Anyone else heard anything about this?

RE: Another Liberal Scand

I've heard a fair bit about it. It doesn't hold up to scrutiny, which is likely why it was yanked from Coyne's site so quickly.

Chretien supporting the UN position on Iraq was the legal thing to do under international law. The rest is just a witch hunt.
