I'm pretty sure suing wouldn't work. When the complaint gets tossed on a demurrer, the liar (if she is, indeed, a liar) will just feel vindicated.

You really think so? If they can prove anxiety, stress or any other disorders due to this, I would think they would have a pretty good case.
