actually i'm not saying that.....
what i am saying is in afghanistan without a stronger force on the ground these barbaric factions would once again flourish....
I obviousley feel that your use of the carte blanche military scenerio was used in Iraq where it should not have been......
The camps and culture that produced al queda came from this region, more so in afghanistan than anywhere else....they were told to help us with our quest to find and stop the terrorists.....they basically laughed at us in pakistan on telly...do you recall these arrogant bastards.....
and all of our worst fears about this afghani problem is proven everyday in the field......You cannot negotiate with these people....we already tried that....they want an extreme Islamic state hell bent on the destruction of Israel and eventually chip away at our evil way of life.......
if yer ok with that...no problemo.....if you see it as otherwise...maybe a few wake up to an explosion on our subways will change yer mind....

If by "they" you mean the Taliban, no they didn't. After 9/11 "they" made two offers in the interests of justice, both of which BushCo summarily refused.
The Taliban weren't the ones giving flying lessions.
