This is a 'real' walking robot. Asimo (Honda's robot) was programmed to walk - put your foot here, then put your other foot there, etc. This one calculates where to put its feet in real-time - so it learns as it goes along. A couple more months and it should be able to go up and down slopes. In the beginning, it stands up on its tip toes... just like kids do when they learn to walk.
