I think you meant to say rationalised rational judgement, didntcha? Sorry NJ, I honestly believe that many U.S. citizens have had their 'rational judgements' completely clouded by fear, paranoia and a steady stream of reinforcement of both by your elected officials.

Yeah...but how would he know...he gets his daily infusion of the Fox Fear Juice pumped directly into his cranium... :?

FOXNews isn't my only news source, I get my news from many sources ... example ... MSNBC.

Mmm...yes, because MSNBC is certainly reknowned for the lack of neocon bias in their reporting too...

. . . I noticed that on this wonderful website, either we criticize Americans or we criticize Christians. What's the good in that, friend...
Criticizing Americans is an old Canadian pastime, just as ignoring the wishes of anyone outside their borders is an old American tradition.

I offer no criticism of Christians involved in practising their religion, provided they don’t pollute political debates with their faith-based information, nor try to grab hold of the levers of political power as a method of prostelyzing, or forcing their particular dogma into law.

As for my take on the story quoted at the beginning of this thread: It illustrates how a perceived need for security has pressed into action security measures which the airport’s physical facilities are not (yet?) configured to handle expeditiously.

That, and whoever is training security personnel (in Germany, and elsewhere) is focussing upon a muscular rather than an intelligent response to threats.

I agree that this website is not designed for Christian content - and that's fine... I know it's rather annoying when they invade with their personal beliefs - I understand. I've been on other websites where that kind of thing got out-of-hand. Forums are designed for people who want to express their opinions - and that's great. I think that we have to be able to support a difference of opinion, though. I just wouldn't want anybody to take anything personal. I'm new here and I might not have as much insight as many do here in world politics like peapod and vanni fucci and nascar_james and so on - but I would like for my opinions to be welcomed... otherwise, I would be offended. I've looked at many websites and this one is very nice in many ways - as a newcomer, my first impression is that we have gone a little overboard in criticism. If you disagree, well, that's fine.

Hi peapod,
I also apologize if I said anything to irritate you.

I like your sense of humour, I popped my pea pod!
Anyways, many here really have a fascinating grip on world politics - I can see that by the way they post. I think I can learn a lot here...
