Hamas defied Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's decree Saturday that its paramilitary unit is illegal, saying it will double its ranks and fight any attempt to disband the force.

Of course. Why would they have peace?

How can we beleive these people want peace with Israel, when they can not have peace among themselves?

I agree. They have shown no evidence ever of seeking peace amongst themselves either. Funny, for if the Arab world actually united as one political entity, Israel would face an almost insurmountable adversary.

If all hell broke loose, I would bet the farm on the Israelis.

I remember their Air Force buying second hand F-4 Phantoms, post VietNam and using automotive rear view mirrors to assist the pilots in seeing behind them. I'm not sure what their standing is now, but they were the global "Dog Fight" champs for quite some time. Even with antiquated equipment. Now they are better equiped and even better trained. They are a force. I beleive they would prevail at all costs. Those costs and their tactics would leave the world, picking their collective jaws up off the floors, but they would win.

They are industrius, they are fierce, they are determined to survive.

"Never Again" means just that to the Israelis.

Isreal will always have the right to defend themselves from waring factions, all countries have that right. However the Arabs don't seem to realize that if they all joined together they might be able to better control their militants and bring a lasting peace in the area. I do not believe that peace is impossible, however the hotheads on all sides have to be dealt with in a manner that it would be more advantageous for them to stop fighting. They are fighting because there is a payoff for them somewhere and only the Arabs themselves can deal with this. They are like bullies but when the victims fight back they cry foul. Haven't I heard about this going on around the world?
