Fack, I can't believe any sane person would even consider something like this to be legit, just the logistics alone. People are facking stupid.

Govts in Canada don't need money to avoid depression, now the govt in Greece needs money, because half work for the govt and the other half don't pay any taxes. Get things straight would ya.

Nothing to get straight here, he's just facking nuts. Lunacy on the internets gone wild.

This is absolute BS. To make this happen, a whole line up of improbabilities and stupidity would have to fall in place. Our entire taxation system is based on syphoning off a percentage of somethings value, whether it our earnings, or the cost of an item so the gov't would face the issue of how do to assign a value to an email in order to tax it. Impossible given the wide range of communications distributed this way: the Canadian Gestapo...er... Revenue Canada would have to read and subjectively apply a value, which would lead to thousands if not millions of appeals over misvalued emails. This might have been some idiot's brainchild from deep within the bureaucracy at one point, but its so far beyond impractical its a surprising even Liberalman propagated it...

Any email message has a value to it or else people would not send it and the receiver not read it

One can say that junk mail has no value and is in most cases thrown out but there is enough people reading and acting on it to motivate to send out more junk mail.

Email is the same and since the government needs more money to pay down the debts charging per email would be a good moneymaker.

When you look at the amount of emails sent per day is in the billions and if one includes per text charge for sending and receiving that’s a lot of money and since the government has a majority it can be a reality in a couple of months.

Besides the email reading and texting is becoming a public hazard where people are getting killed on the roads so this new charge would cut down the accidents and this is another reason why the government is seriously considering it.

You really should stop making stuff up Liebraldud.

Your absurdity is helping the Cons more than hindering them.

In Ontario a lot of laws passed against texting while driving because of the people killed because of texting and the Conservatives needs solutions to combat the problem and this is one solution

And that has what to do with your make believe lie/claim about the Cons taxing emails?

If you read the OP that the government is considering this and the rest is why would they and this post tries to answer the question
I read the OP, like I said, your make believe lie/claim, is BS. And you do more for the Cons, with all your documented lies.

No. According to the OP...

"I overheard two government tax workers discussing the tax on each email sent and received by citizens in this country and how the government will get the records of each Internet service provider to identify the customers that communicate with email to send them the bill."

They could have been two lowly workers shooting the breeze over lunch, speaking hypothetically, or speaking quickly and imprecisely over subway sandwiches between bites.

When you hear this discussion in parliament on CPAC, or when your MP tells you that is what he wants to do, please let me know.

Or it could just be Liebraldud, lying through his eye teeth, as usual.

I think I'm closer to the truth than you.

They talked about taxing emails in the States also a while back, nothing became of it and now our postal Service is going belly up. FEDX and UPS can fill the gap.
