Plans for Britain's first Coronation since 1953 are starting to be revealed.

The Coronation itself in Westminster Abbey - of King Charles III and Queen Camilla - on Saturday 6th May will be attended by less people than Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953 due to modern Health and Safety but whereas Elizabeth II's Coronation lasted one day the Coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla will effectively last three days, up to the Bank Holiday Monday of 8th May. There will likely be a lot of Shakespeare references, with the King being a Shakespeare fan.

However, the key, and most important, elements of the Coronation - the crowning and the anointing with oil - will be the same as they have been for 1000 years..

The three day event is sure to be watched by billions on TV and internet.
