A Good Home Cooked Meal

What would be an example of a Canadian style home cooked meal?
Something special and native to Canada.

An example, at this time of the year in Texas, would be:

Meatloaf (or fried pork chops)
Fresh black-eyed peas (I add fresh jalapeno)
Fried okra
Squash casserole
Sliced fresh tomatoes
Sliced fresh cantaloupe
Strawberry shortcake
Iced tea

All of the veggies come from our garden.

The meal we had tonight was probably pretty typical.

Breaded, fried chicken breasts
Boiled tiny new potatoes with butter and herbs
Steamed Broccoli and cauliflower
Baby carrots
Green salad with avocado dressing

PS...Everything but the avocado was grown locally. We don't have a garden this year. Next year we will.
