The Americans never achieved any of their goals in the War of 1812. None of their war goals was even discussed by the officials who signed the Treaty of Ghent which ended the war. They were just ignored. On that basis, the war was an American defeat and British victory.
Doesn't matter about the past in which ye've suffered tremendous defeats. Nowadays,,,,we'll beat yer azzzzz:).

Well, Canada is still an independent country so we won. The Americans maintained their independence and even add Maine to their territory, so they won. The British never agian dealt with an invasion of their Empire, so they won.

Guess who lost, eh Tecchumsehbones?

Gee, I can live my entire life in peace, here without once having to stuff a semi-automatic in my trousers belt when I go out. What's to envy?

Bollocks. The British Armed Forces are the finest and best-trained in the world. Britain would beat the USA in a war right now. Remember, you couldn't beat Vietnam.
