I'm back from vacation! Here's the items I found during the vacation areas:

Nuclear Dumping
This is really depend on the law and the specific company who makes the nuclear item.

The people who is responsible for the nuclear waste is specific companies who dump and make the nuclear items. The dumper, the user, and the maker of nuclear should come up with a percentage of responsibilities. The most percentage need to clean the nuclear more. For example, if one person have 5% in the making of nuclear, then they need to clean 5% of the deal. The percentage depends on the deal of the contract between people and companies. This is depending on your imagination and your fact revision.

The government must support the environmentalists with their funds. This approach is expensive and unjust for the government. If the government do so, there will be not enough money for social programs and construction projects

Also, if the government do not let clean up go, more people will get sick. When people get sick, you now need to pay for their medicare and the envrionment. Plus, the people will get less support for the government who do not clean up the nuclear waste; especially the nuclear waste lasts very long.

Nuclear should be treated in water away from major and minor water areas such as stream, rapid, waterfall, river, lakes, sea, estachuaries, etc. or nuclear can be stored under the stable earth or similar area sealed with glass.

To help a company in nuclear waste in one of those budgets to show you care about the environment:
1) let companies with untreated nuclear waste to treat them and tell them to to send out money to the damaged parts by nuclear wastes and a penalty fund.
2) help the company by taking the nuclear waste and do the cleaning for them. This allows the country to charge the waste management twice or even triple the price of a regular nuclear waste management plus a penalty fund.

A new vision of conservation—of doing more with less—may be the key.

That's common sense, logical and effective. I applaud any technology or development that weans us off fossil fuel use, but not because of any global warming. Nothing we can do will "save the world/planet". No, the concern is pollution (not CO2) and western economy and civilization. The pollution concerns are self-evident, health, so nothing more need be said. But western civilization and all the benefits we derive therefrom depend on energy. All the technologies that make our lives so much better than our ancestors require energy. At present, western civilization depends far too much on the mid-east as an energy source, a region of instability, a large proportion of whose peoples are hostile to us and our way of life. Those are the real problems facing us. The CO2/global warming scare is just politcal chicanery. Those who cling so fervently to that belief demonstrate all the characteristics of religious fundamentalism:

....certain human social structures always reappear. They can't be eliminated from society. One of those structures is religion. Today it is said we live in a secular society in which many people---the best people, the most enlightened people---do not believe in any religion. But I think that you cannot eliminate religion from the psyche of mankind. If you suppress it in one form, it merely re-emerges in another form. You can not believe in God, but you still have to believe in something that gives meaning to your life, and shapes your sense of the world. Such a belief is religious.

Today, one of the most powerful religions in the Western World is environmentalism. Environmentalism seems to be the religion of choice for urban atheists. Why do I say it's a religion? Well, just look at the beliefs. If you look carefully, you see that environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.

There's an initial Eden, a paradise, a state of grace and unity with nature, there's a fall from grace into a state of pollution as a result of eating from the tree of knowledge, and as a result of our actions there is a judgment day coming for us all. We are all energy sinners, doomed to die, unless we seek salvation, which is now called sustainability. Sustainability is salvation in the church of the environment. Just as organic food is its communion, that pesticide-free wafer that the right people with the right beliefs, imbibe.

Eden, the fall of man, the loss of grace, the coming doomsday---these are deeply held mythic structures. They are profoundly conservative beliefs. They may even be hard-wired in the brain, for all I know. I certainly don't want to talk anybody out of them, as I don't want to talk anybody out of a belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God who rose from the dead. But the reason I don't want to talk anybody out of these beliefs is that I know that I can't talk anybody out of them. These are not facts that can be argued. These are issues of faith.

And so it is, sadly, with environmentalism. Increasingly it seems facts aren't necessary, because the tenets of environmentalism are all about belief. It's about whether you are going to be a sinner, or saved. Whether you are going to be one of the people on the side of salvation, or on the side of doom. Whether you are going to be one of us, or one of them. Link

But let's pretend that the world really is facing a global warming crisis brought about by the use of fossil fuels, as so many of you believe. I like many/most of the suggestions because they reduce pollution but if they were implemented by everyone in Canada, it wouldn't even meet our Kyoto commitments, which would be extremely difficult. Here's why:

We have 2 choices if we want to meet them:

1 - For a given choice of activities, we can adopt technologies that generate fewer GGE’s. But we don't have them yet, and even if we did, it takes decades to replace old technologies, so it can’t be done in time for Kyoto and that leaves us with
2 - For a given state of technology, we can reduce activities that generate GGE as a by-product. Which ones, and by how much? Greenhouse gas emissions are roughly proportional to economic activity, and that means to meet Kyoto we need to reduce our economy by 30% within 5 years, worse than the great depression.

And if we did meet them somehow, it would make no difference; we're too small a player. Just 5 months worth of China's annual increase would cancel out that reduction. What if the whole world met its Kyoto targets? Again, no salvation, even if Anthropological GW is real. Just a slight delay in the warming.

So what I'd like from those who believe is suggestions for actions that would really work, assuming that the scary scenario of AGW is real. Increasing gas mileage isn't enough (hybrids aren't as good as claimed, you can get just as good from regular gas engines) you have to eliminate driving. Eliminate all fuel powered vehicles, especially private aircraft, no vacations that require more than foot, sail or bicycle travel, shut down all computers, televisions, any entertainment that uses energy, and I'm just getting started on what is required just to meet Kyoto.

Don't suggest alternatives like biofuels, curly light bulbs, carbon credits or offsets, public transit, solar or wind or tidal power, those are either counter-productive or of minimal effect. Because if the AGW threat is as real as claimed, we need to eliminate anthropological greenhouse emissions, and not just Western emissions, all emissions, world-wide.

I want to know how you believers would "save the world/planet", because nothing that has ever been suggested thus far will have even the slightest effect.

Many of you say that we "have to start doing something now, before it's too late." What exactly do you propose that would have the desired effect? I have long maintained that any actions would be an exercise in futility because AGW is BS. I also maintain that if AGW is real, it's still an exercise in futility because the necessary reductions to make a difference are impossible, because the devastation to humanity by anything that would work would be the most horrific disaster to ever befall humanity.

So show me I'm wrong. Tell me what would work.
