U.S. to lift Canada, Mexico land border restrictions in Nov for vaccinated visitors

It's quite the ordeal. If you stay more than 1 month ..... you will have to ..... fill out a form! The humanity!

Canadian Federal Election Outcome October 20th (or 27th?), 2025.

A convention is always good for a few points of a bounce and a bit of a honeymoon for whichever party holds it.

Canadian Federal Election Outcome October 20th (or 27th?), 2025.

2 things. Looks at the maritimes in Ron's weekly posts. Notice it is turning red again? Secondly, and more importantly, I look at Ontario because like it or not this province will decide if the Conservatives get a majority. Any scenario for a Conservative majority requires a good chunk of...

Doug Ford officially calls early Ontario election

She also did something I have not ever seen in any concession speech. A concession. Usually it is customary to congratulate the winner. Usually all politicians make a note about the sacrifice of all candidates (not just theirs) running for public office. That was also missing. All boiler plate...

Doug Ford officially calls early Ontario election

It was kind of weird in how the seats got distributed. The 3rd place NDP (19% pop vote compared to 30% lib) got 10 or so more seats than the Libs.

Canadian Federal Election Outcome October 20th (or 27th?), 2025.

Latest poll in Ontario has the Liberals in dead heat with Conservatives. Trailing by 4% which is within the margin of error.

Don't say that. The Liberals have been peddling him as the next saviour for Canada.

Will Mark Carney (as an unelected PM) have a seat in Parliament?

It's all that he will get as a visitor.

Will Mark Carney (as an unelected PM) have a seat in Parliament?

I recall that for a Leader of the Opposition, before he won a seat in a bi-election, has viewed parliament from the visitors gallery before. I think Carney would be up there until he gets a seat. He would have all the privileges you or I would have as a visitor to the chamber.

If he was paid .... and he was to play by the rules .... then I think it should based upon my understanding of the law. What I don't know if there are exceptions for Britain as we still have strong ties.

Until he is elected as an MP, yes. It's a whole other discussion on whether what elected officials do can be called work.

April Fools!! Here's your Carbon Tax F#ckers!!!

I think the Rocky Mountains pushing up are likely why there is no more seabed in SK now. Probably raised SK up several feet as well. Or maybe it was just Climate Change. Somebody farted in 3,000,000 BC and created too much CO2 in the air.

So is Musk actualy working for the US government? If so, that would be grounds for revoking his Canadian citizenship under that convention.

I think Canada is the same way (not sure about Israel). But it doesn't change the fact he is both Canadian and American whether each acknowledge the other or not. If I was to become American, I think something in the process has me renounce my Canadian citizenship. Canada however does not...

People can have dual citizenship. My son is both Canadian and American. Has 2 passports and can vote (or not vote) in both elections.

Ford still on top for this coming election

If Ford wins a majority he would do something not done for many decades in Ontario -- win 3 straight majorities. Historically the third one is usually defeat or a minority.
