He pleaded guilty to charges greater than motor vehicle violations. Therefore, in they eyes of the law he is guilty. Since he doesn't hold citizenship this pretty much triggers deportation. It may not be fair but since when is the law ever fair?

The reality is that anything right of Liberal Lite will not get elected in Ontario. And without significant seats in Ontario, you can't form a government.
I am sure the information is available as part of the freedom of information act but I don't have the patience to navigate the bureaucracy to get it (the irony). But I think 60% is a bit high. I recall 35-40% of the budget is servicing the debt and that wouldn't leave much for actual purchases...
I think you could devise a scenario where 34% of vote got enough electors in the college to win the presidency. Unlikely but possible. Just depends where those 34% of the voters are.
