Same here. I used to do 10-12 games attendance per year. Haven't really gotten back to that level. I think there was a hockey strike around the same time, I really became less sports focused after those 2 strikes.

Toronto advance voter turnout down nearly 30% compared to record-setting 2014

It's a boring election. The current mayor and council have not done a good job but the alternatives running are even worse. And nobody is making any type of splash. So it is a boring race. I would expect apathy to win this one.

That is the record straight from mlb.com. mlb.com re-arranged the teams in current division format so GBL is hard to figure out. It looked like the west was pretty weak that year though. So they indeed may have been in it.

Right. The Mariners record in 1994 was a very typical 49-63 (.438).

Of course, the Expos probably would have won it as the Expos in 1994 making it 3 years in a row of a Canadian World Series winner had their not been that strike.

The 6 teams without World Series wins along with their appearances: Brewers: Once, 1982 Mariners: Never Padres: Twice, 1984 and 1998 Rangers: Twice, 2010 and 2011 Rays: Twice, 2008 and 2020 Rockies: Once, 2007

And that's the sweep. Longest scoreless game in MLB history. Astros win 1-0 in 18. Also was good to see BeanBall Castilo give up the winning 3 run HR in game 2. Now the Mariners can sink back into oblivion. The ONLY MLB franchise to never appear in a World Series. And one of 6 not to have won...

Toronto has a lot of people. A single crime in a smaller city has more bang for the buck.

PIerre takes it - 68 percent on the first ballot and what a winning speech

Just to be clear, I was not specifically accusing you of anything but people in general. I have seen lots of people 'forgive' TrueDope for his sins and/or say its a 'teachable moment'. If I made any implication it was you specifically, I apologize. It was not my intent.

IF. The minute this happens on the Liberal side of the floor will be the time I worry about it happening on PP side. Truedope is involved in a scandal a month and it somehow does not warrant outrage, firing or resignations.
