    The benefit of anthropomorphism

A thought occurred to me yesterday as I was at the car wash. Never before has a vehicle in our household recieved such loving attention. My van could go months without being washed. The kids could care less if they scuffed their shoes on the seats, or got crumbs on the floor. But not now...

    Make me a sammich!!

So, while hubby and were away in Newfoundland, thanks to the convenience of the company rental car, we were able to head out to Ferryland for a lighthouse picnic. While weather didn't really cooperate, the food they serve at the lighthouse was still fantastic. We had smoked salmon, shrimp, and...

    Lamb Chops.

well, if you're married to the idea of potatoes, then you probably won't like my suggestion, but, I recently had the pleasure of climbing up to the Ferryland lighthouse for a picnic, and they served an orzo salad with mint that I think would be simply smashing served with lamb. Some of your...

    Stainless steel

I used to have a thing of weimans, it worked well, but, after committing to 'green' cleaners, I just pour soap on my stove top, add washing soda and borax until it's all a paste, and it works just as well. :)

    Stainless steel

yeah, white fridges. lol. I really prefer the look of a white kitchen, so, for me it wasn't a sacrifice to get rid of the stainless steel. Let me know if you find a solution though, I've always got other moms who have that issue.

    Stainless steel

Juan, that's darn near the same fridge I got, only, because I have kids I a)didn't want the constant polishing and b)wanted my fridge to be a message board/display space, so, I went with white.

I regularly do my family's produce shopping at a large clearance centre called H&W. produce there is significantly less money for the same quality I find in most local stores. Open Source Word Processor

Does anyone here use an open source word processor? I find Microsoft 7's decision to sell their Office suite separately maddening, and frankly, to be an ignorant cash grab. I have no inclination to run trials of their word processor and deal with switching over. Open source seems like a...
