    Huge New York Steaks

Even food that has passed its 'best before' date is still good to eat. I think people have stopped using common sense, and are relying on what I call the 'lawyer labels' to run their lives. I avoid milk that is past the date, as it usually goes bad, but for the most part, meat is perfectly...

RCMP cameras with crime photos found in trees

This is hilarious. The RCMP put cameras in trees to take pictures of a suspected graffiti artist. Not only did they set them up with a flash (no, that wouldn't be obvious), but they didn't erase the memory cards in the cameras. I'm pretty sure that would violate all kinds of privacy laws...

October 21 - The End is Near

Maybe you can't make this stuff up, but others have. It's pretty amusing, though.

    SCC Decision on Consent

This is weird. The Supreme Court has ruled that consent must be an ongoing state of mind...it comes from a case where a woman, who regularly engaged in choking/sex, complained about what her partner did to her while she was unconscious. So here's a warning to men - you must not participate...

    Saskatchewan approves carbon-capture project

You lose. I do understand, however, why you have problems. You don't understand the basics, if you're claiming that an igloo is a closed system. Enjoy yourself, it's a good hobby.

    Saskatchewan approves carbon-capture project

That's completely untrue. I can mail you a thermodynamics book if you need one.

    Saskatchewan approves carbon-capture project

If anyone thought you knew anything about science, your reponse should dispell that. You can't even grasp the meaning of what I wrote, so it's unlikely that you could understand anything scientific.

    Saskatchewan approves carbon-capture project

I didn't realize that a small greenhouse was a scientifically-accurate model for the earth and its atmosphere. Thanks for clearing that up.

    Coffee

We have one at my work. The amount of waste drives me crazy. There's a plastic bag, which includes two cardboard boxes; in each cardboard box are 7 plastic pods, each containing 2 tablespoons of coffee. Plus, the coffee is so-so. I've tried a variety of brands and types, but I much prefer...

    Favorite Cheese.

My brother and sister-in-law are fans of odd cheeses. They once bought some really intense cheese at the gourmet cheese shop in Toronto, then took the train back to Kingston...they noticed that other people on the train moved away to other seats...as they realized, because of the smell of the...

    Favorite Cheese.

Have you ever been to North America? I've never eaten cheese in a tube like toothpaste. But then again, you might be confused by the concept of toothpaste.

    Favorite Cheese.

If you like strong cheese, and are either in NB or Toronto, there is a place in NB that makes goat and sheep cheese, bergerie aux quatre vents, their cheese is sold in a specialty cheese place in Toronto, it's really, really good. Very strong flavour, but for those who like specialty cheeses...

What to do about global warming

But you have to make sure that you are burning hydrocarbons (or turning them into plastics) at a lower rate than they are being created, no matter how they are being created. What is your plan for that? At what rate are they being created?

Braised lamb chops in the slow cooker

I've never cared for the flavor of lamb; it can be good, and I've had very good lamb, I just don't care for the flavor.

    Swiss Steak

Yeah, it's a great way to deal with cheaper, tougher cuts. You can do similar things with pork, toss in a beer, too.
