    “Wokeness” in Canada and elsewhere…

I’m still partial to the pronouns of “Doctor” and “Captain” (in the nautical prairie sense) at this point… until I self identify otherwise.

    Hamas attacks Israel

Hamas and other Palestinian factions have rejected talks on releasing Israeli hostages until Israel stops its military onslaught on Gaza. A statement published by Hamas on Thursday claimed to reflect a “Palestinian national decision”. It said there “should be no talk about prisoners or exchange...

    It's Climate Change I tell'ya!! IT'S CLIMATE CHANGE!!

Ugh…ok…BC already has Hydro power. Because it only covered 80% of their baseload this last year does not mean they’re gonna throw them out the window, drain the dams, light them on fire, etc…. BC also has lots (LOTS!!) of its own natural gas… so it’s not like it’s not a viable option. BC is...

Or the reliability of a baseload like with unicorn farts and wishful thinking either.

Two years into the Trudeau 2.0 Minority Term, which day will Justin call the election that only he wants?

The Liberals have been accusing the Conservatives of "turning their backs on Ukraine," and now the party is making that argument in attack ads running in more than a dozen Prairie ridings that are home to large Ukrainian communities. (The Liberals…or NDP/Liberals with their non-coalition...

    It's Climate Change I tell'ya!! IT'S CLIMATE CHANGE!!

Well, that is interesting. Drought proof. Reliable. Wouldn’t want that… Their options are pretty limited. Empathy from one of Canada’s only two landlocked provinces… Huh…. Wasn’t there a kerfuffle in recent memory, with respect to trying to get a pipeline for natural gas to the Pacific from...

    Hamas attacks Israel

…& Canada as a nation, elected him, three times…so far. The Enterprise might decide to just nuke us from orbit in case that level of stupidity is contagious.

    Hamas attacks Israel

Canada’s controversial support last week of a non-binding United Nations resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza has earned a hearty thank you from Hamas. In an English-language video statement issued earlier this week by Dr. Ghazi Hamad, the senior leader of the Palestinian terror group...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

The Liberals don’t like to characterize their policies as causing potentially irreparable divisions between Eastern and Western Canada. Yet nothing screams “Laurentian elite looking out for their own at the expense of everyone else” quite like the recent press conference announcing the...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

Without knowing enough about these batteries on my end, more learning needs to be done upon which batteries are liquid cooled (more complicated and expensive) and which ones are air cooled (less complicated and easier to rebuild)...

    Hamas attacks Israel

The leader of Hamas made his first visit to Egypt for more than a month on Wednesday, a rare personal intervention in diplomacy amid what a source described as intensive talks on a new ceasefire to let aid reach Gaza and get hostages freed. A Palestinian official said Haniyeh was keen to listen...

http://www.fastcompany.com/90995556/ev-battery-repair-is-dangerous-heres-why-its-still-worth-doing http://electrictogether.com/get-help/can-an-ev-battery-be-repaired Faulty batteries can be fixed, but it's not always straightforward. If the battery is out of warranty, there are third-party EV...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

You don’t wanna be the second owner on an EV that needs a battery, without you having some kind of warranty. I don’t assume there’s gonna be much of a market for used EV’s beyond the first and maybe second owner… and then they get scrapped. Without a fresh battery they’re worth almost nothing…...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

I was thinking about the story that I read a couple days ago: http://dailyhive.com/canada/canadian-driver-ev-replacement-battery A Canadian driver from Vancouver who owned a 2022 EV model was told that a replacement battery would cost more than the vehicle itself due to some suspected damage...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

Going into “troubling financial times” without using the “R” word… the minister of environment and climate change, wants to get a jump on bringing in these regulations so that it’s easier for people to get more EV’s by the deadline of 2035? Do these people even hear themselves?

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

If the average EV is worth about $60,000, and has a lifespan of about five years (but let’s call it seven) optimistically, including the battery, does that mean my dodge Dakota so far has been worth 4.5 EV’s and counting? So about a quarter million dollar pick up truck so far…& if I get another...

Electric shock: A new study found that EVs were more expensive to fuel than gas-powered cars at the end of 2022

Canadian car dealers will have to sell a lot more electric vehicles under new regulations finalized on Tuesday. Does it matter what their customers actually want to purchase? What if vehicle purchasers don’t want 20% of their vehicles to be EV’s or Hybrids by 2026? Then what? Environment...
