The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

So, what would that mean, Anna? Something like a pole shift happening??

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

About five years ago someone reported seeing vultures, now there are a few here every year - in the Bridge Lake area. Another species that seems to be migrating north is raccons. They were never seen in the Cariboo and now they are here, though in small numbers - thank Gaia for that.

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

I watched a documentary awhile ago that addressed the subject of polar bears mating with browns and grizzlies. Polar bears have been a dump plague for years in the far north and you are right, the problem will just get worse. In the end, their adaptation may be in the form of interspecies mating .

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

Speaking of 'canaries', Cliffy, an interesting thing we have noticed around here in the past few years, is the new species (new to our area) of birds we are seeing. Species that were never recorded in our area are now becoming common place during the migration period. I don't presume to know...

Global Warming ‘Greatest Scam in History’

This was also in the article by Mark Steyn. So much for data.

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

We are in agreement about everything except 'global warming' SirJP. Call it climate change as something is happening, whether or not it is warming or cooling is still up for debate. And I do agree with darkbeaver, that the Inuit are talking about local conditions.

Excellent article, Walter. Always liked Mark Steyn as he is already to confront bullpuckey head on. Thanks for providing the link.

Global Warming ‘Greatest Scam in History’

The climate is changing. The jury is still out on whether we are warming or cooling so to call it 'global warming' is just aping the media. As to what we can do about climate change - absolutely nothing. What we can do is try to clean up the pollution in our own backyards so to speak. We...

The Climate Summit in Copenhagen Must Be Cancelled!

I just caught the tail end of a news item on the National tonight about the video in this link. What drew my interest was comments made by some Inuit stating that the sun, moon, and stars had shifted. One old fellow said he felt as it the land had tilted over. I can't watch it online as I...

    Yorkshire Pudding

Tried to PM you with this juan. I only use coconut butter or rice oil now - well I have extra virgin for salads - would either of them substitute for the lard, etc?

    Yorkshire Pudding

I don't know, LG. Real Yorkies have a taste, texture and flavor all their own. But then, that's just my opinion. ;-)

    President Obama Reveals Afghan Strategy

President Obama addressed an auditorium packed with cadets at West Point tonight in a speech that detailed the new US strategy in Afghanistan. In all actuality, he was addressing nations around the world such as Canada who have been waiting to see what direction the new President would take and...

    Ode to the Roughies

Written by my good friend, Lloyd McTaggart who is an Edmonton Eskimo fan. Ode To The Roughies – The 2009 Grey Cup The weather was fine For both teams that day The stands were quite green And the skies were not gray The game started off With a bang, to be sure The Grey Cup was waiting With...

Grey Cup Champions - Montreal Alouettes

In the end, we did it to ourselves! But for a stupid, juvenile penalty we would have had the game. It is not the way I would have chosen to lose the game, but it is a fact. I congratulate Montreal on their win, they are true Grey Cup Champions. I do not take anything away from the great play...

    Socialists in a Panic

I get a wee bit tired of hearing about climate change. It happens, has done so more than a few times over the millenia. The Earth warms up, cools, freezes and begins to warm up again. We have absolutely no control what-so-ever over what the Earth is going through right now. Even if we...

    Let the Game Begin!

By this time tomorrow, all Canadians will know which team triumphed during the Grey Cup. The teams are ready. The fans are ready. The weather looks to be cooperating. The Pregame show gets underway at 10:00 PST. The game begins at 3:30 PST. I will especially enjoy this Grey Cup as it will...

    Socialists in a Panic

I am beginning to wonder what Canada is going to say in Copenhagen now that our Stephen Harper has changed his mind and will be attending the conference. We are receiving more than a few black-eyes in the media over the state of the Tar Sands. Had the government of Ralph Klein only shown...
