Be aware, I've literally read it all, cover to cover, and it fails to convince me of anything, because it does not provide the one thing it would take to convince me. That being the first shred of evidence that your god exists.
I guess, but nobody can tell me, least of all some fool mumbling over an old and frequently-edited-for-power-purposes book, so I don't spend a lot of time fretting about it. I generally have a nice lie-in on Sunday morning.
When I lived there, they had very polite strikes. The strikers would take two hours, half of which would be their lunch hour, march out, pick up signs, march and chant, then at two hours precisely, put down their signs and go back to work.
One of the reasons I supported Pete Buttigieg. Don't know what I'll do in 2024.

In 1925, Wisconsin made it a crime to teach German to children (Wisconsin has a very high ethnically-German population, and in the 1900 census, about 75% of the population of Wisconsin had been born in Germany).
They passed it off as an anti-German, patriotic thing.
