In Ontario provincial and municipal elections our ballot goes into a machine (that looks a lot like a shredder) and is electronically counted. Has been done for years. Never heard of issues. I don't think it is connected to the internet.

I have always maitained that polling outside an election cycle is meaningless and inaccurate. One can argue how accurate it is during an election cycle. I do really hope you are correct but we will see with the only poll that matters. Do you think if the Liberals lose they will scream election...

People don't come out the first time to keep the current guy in power.

Ontario just elected a Conservative Provincial government. Yet they are leaning to the Liberals Federally. Not sure why the difference.

The old rule is high voter turnout usually goes against the guy currently in power. We were in an out in out station without delay. The only hiccup was when they gave me 2 ballots.

I am going to vote this weekend in advance polls. Never know what comes up on election day.
