    Maybe they almost fall apart in layers because this recipe is almost the same as the "Never fail pie Crust" recipe. Pie crust naturally has much more flour and a whole pound of Tenderflake but it uses the vinegar. As I said - the ingredients are basically the same except for the amounts.

    Agreed! They can keep their secret recipe. It is the greasiest food out there and I personally find even the smell of it to be quite revolting.

    I guess we all have our own way of making stew. Personally - I think stew beef is too expensive and too fat. I buy cheap steak and cut it up myself (usually round steak). I brown the meat very well in olive oil and I salt & pepper the meat (has to be browned well or you don't get nice gravey)...

    You could hack it up as you say and then roast the breasts. Boil some of the other parts for soup and turkey pot pie. Nothing tastier than a nice turkey pot pie. Takes away that "Christmas Dinner" taste.
