I buy farmed salmon fillets cheap. Will try check prices. The wild salmon steaks are pricey. I'm not a big fan of them. I love fish but hate fish bones. My altar goes up and down. I think I am going to set it up permanent this weekend. I need to get a new athame. I always end up using mine for...

Sound yummy. I've taken to doing all my shrimp in wine. May have to go home open freezer a stand there and stare at it for a bit. Can't figure out what to have for dinner tonight. It's a seafood night just can't make up my mind.

Time to start learning to goose step

The new requirements state that the USGS's communications office must be “alerted about information products containing high-visibility topics or topics of a policy-sensitive nature.'' The agency's director, Mark Myers, and its communications office also must be told — prior to any submission...

    Dry spices

I myself have only just picked up any sort of cooking skills. Before my heart attack I would never put garlic or curry powder anywhere near my food.

Haskett bailing out after election defeat

In 1997, Haskett became a star to evangelical Christians in Canada and the United States after skipping town and a re-election race -- which she easily won -- to protest a decision of the Ontario Human Rights Commission, which fined her for refusing to issue a Gay Pride proclamation...

    Dry spices

The "spices/herbs" in bottles (Clubhouse) are convenient and the spicier ones may retain some taste but they can't compare with fresh herbs or spices. Some are not even the proper spice. Curry powder is not made with the Kari (spchk) plant at all but is pepper, tumeric and various spices...

Food is so comforting because it is one of the basic needs. Food, water, sleep and air. That warm fuzzy feeling as you drift of to sleep, the quenching of a powerful thirst, and taking a deep breath of cool clean air. At least they waited till after Christmas to lay you off. Any chance of a...

Good source for the home cook?

A good thick mat on floor will do wonders for your feet and back. I have tiled floors and have a small rug that I kick around from sink to prep counter all the time. Plus I wear a good set of hard soled slippers. I actually have fallen arches and wear custom fit orthotics (400$ a pair (good...

The lowest form of life on this planet is a man who would raise his hand in anger against a woman or a child.

One thing my dad would not tolerate was clowning around and being disruptive in public. At home no problems but run amok and make a nuisance of yourself in public was a huge NO-NO. I have lost track of how many times me and my brother were made to sit with our hands on our heads in the middle of...

Before my HA all we did when friends came over was play vids and smoke dope. We still smoke dope but now spend the evening upstairs conversing and interacting without a TV on. As a family we always ate together. Luckily I came from a well adjusted stable home. One of my favourite things to do...

I still get blubbery sometimes over my brothers death and that was 4 years ago. A parent is not supposed to outlive their child so considering your loss was only last year (it's 2007 I can say that) go ahead and sob your heart and brain out.

I have been having great results subbing the Becel 67%RSF marg for butter or oil in baking recipes. A whole lot healthier than both. Subbing cocoa for chocolate chips or baking squares is different. The amount of marg and cocoa I have to use in phenominal. So have stayed away from chocolate...

LOL I thought we were still looking for grout cleaner. Looks yummy though. I printed off a couple of recipes from the site. Can't say I have ever seen Old Bay but I am sure we ahve an equivalent or I can come up with one. My spice and condiment rack is as stocked as my freezer.

My kitchen floor is tiled and my grout needs to be cleaned. I thought I had a dark grout but when I pulled out my fridge and stove to clean under I saw light grouting. I got same question but may use not so eco friendly products.
