    Have You Been Polled?

Not at the house yet. But we are rural, and it is a big riding, so I expect wannabe politicians to hit the high volume areas first. I have a Conservative membership, so I do get the in-house polls. Always wondered about the usefulness of in house polls. I just don't see party members voting for...

Which explains why we have so many problems. 50% of the population is totally cluless about the vast majority of the country.

Its a war zone. People die in those places. For some strange reason, bullets and bombs don't discriminate.

Mark Carney (Trudeau Liberal Replacement) as PM

Federally, maybe. The BC NDPee have not represented blue collar workers for 30 years. They represent government unions and radical greens. Which are much the same people anyway.

    Canada 51st State

This is more a reflection on the current liberal government than Canada as a whole. The number varies on just how the question is worded, too.

Like the Here in BC, the forestry workers were always told to vote NDP. Due largely to NDP policies that destroyed our forest industry, the IWA was forced to join the steelworkers union. Yet the Steelworkers are still conning forestry workers to vote NDP even as their jobs disappear. Go figure.

    Pierre Poilievre

EE Senate would be a start. The PR systems we have been presented with so far do not work for large rural ridings. They also give seats to "The Party" based on total number of votes. Pretty much eliminates independents. Then there is the problem of which ridings are going to have a party insider...

As it should be. Rural areas are where the money comes from. Now, dense population areas like GTA make decisions that have no effect on them, but decimate the economies of rural areas, of which city people have no clue and don't care. Take the EV mandate. Yes, they have their place, in the city...

Mark Carney (Trudeau Liberal Replacement) as PM

That one is actually easy. Most of the old commie union leadership has retired. The newcomers have already gone through the job losses caused by delays in project starts. They are all well educated and have a much better grasp on economics than their predecessors. Only the fools still think...

    The Tarriff Hype.

Not a chance. I worked on the Kitamatt Smelter. My son worked on the LNG plant there. It takes years. Even taking an existing plant and moving it is a several year project. There is also the training of new staff to consider.

    The Tarriff Hype.

After my initial thought of equal repressive tariffs, I have come to the conclusion they will hurt Canadians more than Americans, and put more money in the federal coffers for no good reason. I now feel that the best thing for us to do is avoid buying as many American products as possible, and...

    The Tarriff Hype.

Trump does not seem to have a firm grasp of the problems with moving all production to the US. You don't just go to Amazon and buy an automotive assembly line, or to the welfare office to find the kind of skilled labour required to run them. This is a decades long process. Same goes for building...

President Trumps Mythical Canadian Water Faucet

The simple solution to the Columbia River problem is to make Washington and Oregon into a province of Canada. Or at least a couple of miles South of the river to ensure control over nearby habitat and fishing. Then the entire river is Canadian, and no US government meddling is warranted We would...

Ottawa to remove many federal exceptions from Canadian Free Trade Agreement

Mark Carney (Trudeau Liberal Replacement) as PM

This could be interesting. Caught a FB post that claimed a huge jump in the number of memberships sold by the Conservative Candidate in Carnage's chosen riding. It is entirely possible the Arya backers are not happy with having their chosen representative taken away from them, and plan on...
