What is the current seat breakdown? Does TrueDope need the NDP to vote yes or just their absence from parliament for the vote good enough to pass the confidence vote?

They don't have to. The Throne Speech is a confidence vote and will be the first vote of the session. I don't think TrueDope will go. And proroguing parliament would probably shave another 5% off their vote.

Harper kept his minorities in power with fewer seats by using whichever party would help him on any particular legislation. It is possible if the PM stops thinking himself as glorious emperor and works with any 1 of the parties. Will Emperer TrueDope do that?

It seems that the number of conservative seats in Ontario is swinging wildlly week to week. I think in the end (and coming from Saskatchewan myself I know that kind of sucks) but this will be the key to the next election. Can PP hold Ontario or more correctly can TrueDope regain it?

Doesn't work well with minorities. That is what we have now (with 4 years). If you did that you would have to have some runoff system where one party always gets a clear majority. But that is not always what the people want so I think we should stick with what we have -- flawed as it is.
