For me it's about 99% luck. Two more night exposures. This photo is a two minute exposure where my son stepped out for a smoke. Bloody smokers. The second is a shot of the neighbors balcony.

Both excellent photos. On the one [above the pre-emptive peacekeeping] you mentioned it was a longer exposure giving that misty effect. Was that created by the ripples on the water?
