    Turkey Dinner

For dressing, I like what my wife's family does: about half and half lightly cooked mashed potatoes / bread torn up into small cubes, with sauteed celery and onions, salt/pepper/summer savory. And we just toss the neck and guts into the roaster for flavour as it cooks. After the turkey is...

    Blacks Photo Books

So, I was doing some digging on photobooks, and on another forum I came across a discussion on Blacks. Interesting, if you use Blacks to pmake your photo books, their terms of use give them the right to use YOUR pictures for anything they want, without compensation...

    Simple never-fail recipes

I asked my mother if she ever read 'Angela's Ashes', and she replied, 'Growing up with a drunken, violent Irish father, I don't see the need to read about another one.'

Flu is not the biggest danger ...... It's the vaccine

Did you read it before you signed it? I'm always amazed at people who sign stuff without reading or understanding it. No matter who says "oh, it's just standard....", by signing it you are agreeing that you understand it and accept it...which is hard to do, if you haven't read it.

You just don't see any humour in word games, do you? It's not about making anyone look bad, it's about having fun with words. Puns and homonyms. Riffing on a spelling mistake, making it into something clever but still on-topic. Relax, and go buy yourself a sense of humour. Nobody here gets...

I remember reading that there were a certain number of serial numbers that were never completed, and therefore Shelby could build a few more cars, and not have to meet modern emissions or safety standards, because they were already 'on the books' so to speak.

You certainly make him sound like an arrogrant prick, which doesn't surprise me, many (but not all) surgeons are. Usually, though, they're not plastic surgeons. The plastics folks that I know typically understand that most of their business comes from vanity and fashion, and are suitably...

Detroit 442 - maybe baby I could ride with you. Nah, the 400 4 bbl was no match for the 427. Although when I was a kid, we had a Pontiac with the Olds 350 4bbl.

    Our cooling world

Al Gore may well have pointed out Global Warming, but he certainly wasn't the first person to raise the issue of climate change. Why some people focus on him, as if he is the inventor of the concept, I don't know. I tend to dismiss 'celbrity' spokespeople for any cause, and look instead to...
