  • I'll hold you to that.;)

I picked up Season 5 of The Mentalist today for $24.99 (the sale ends tomorrow). I wanted to watch it so I can watch the rest of Season 6 (last week they finally revealed who Red John was!!). A good show. You'd like it. I have Seasons 1-5 on DVD. Maybe I can get you to get the first few episodes of Season 6! I'd have to let you know which ones I needed. I'll lend you the DVDs the next time I see you.:)
How's the weather there? It was actually pretty nice here today.

Perhaps some warm milk will help?
When we stayed at Rondeau, I would see girls collecting various creatures. It was something to do when you were there all Summer (and some families were there all year long). It is beyond sad that there are hardly any cottages there anymore, and someday they will all be gone. I remember biking from the front of the park (the entrance to the park, close to where the campgrounds were was considered the back of the park) to the back. It was a good few miles (at least it felt that way when I was a kid), and I used to bike it every day. Getting hit with melancholy big-time right now.
I always liked collecting the animals. They were cute. I remember the first time I caught a skink (we had a cinderblock wall in the backyard leading to the beach). One second I caught it by the tail, and the next, all I had in my fingers was a twitching tail no longer attached to the skink (I didn't know they could pop their tails off). Seeing skinks there was an everyday occurrence as the neighbours had a wood pile next to the wall.
Nothing sadder than seeing a turtle that has gotten trapped on it's back. I always helped them back up whenever I found them like that.
They were certainly not on the same scale as ones such as those (they live to be over 100 years don't they?), but they still are neat.
    The chocolates are pretty good.

When we had a cottage at Rondeau Park, I would try to catch them for the Rondeau Museum. I caught many Painted Turtles for them (I steered clear of the Snapping Turtles...I wanted to keep all of my fingers!). I also caught green frogs, toads, bullfrogs, yellow-bellied frogs, tree frogs, garter snakes, Fox snakes, and another kind of snake that I can't recall the name of. Lots of fun for a kid! I also collected tadpoles.
That's okay. My dad's (who has the same name as me) late brother was named Tim. He was a good man, so being called that (even by mistake) is something I wouldn't have a problem with.:)
