No dumping Chinese steel into the U.S. is still a major sticking point , but they are right in this instance . The auto pac and softwood lumber are always being negotiated and deals could have been reached if the POLITICAL will was there . But hey King Carney needed to manufacture his majority far more than Canada needed an agreement .
I’m not a fan of Carney and I’m not intentionally defending him, but I just don’t like bullies. Never have. Guess that’s one of my many short fallings.

Irony is I tend to seem like a bully when people first meet me sometimes and it’s not intentional, and maybe that’s part of my dislike of them…bullies, I mean.

Governments only have interests , it is their job to do what is in our , or their interest . Don’t take negotiations personally .

Stablecoin legislation and Market Structure legislation aren't related to the dinner.

What's going on is moving away from the SWIFT payment system to a blockchain system that does take days and eliminating banks taking a 2% cut on currency exchange by using a USD based reserve currency stablecoin or a new multinational reserve currency stablecoin. Trump is sidestepping the privately owned Federal Reserve and putting the new currency back into the hands of the US government.

Isn’t he putting it in the hands of the Binance crypto exchange, & by extension in theory the US government via the Trump Media & Technology Group?
Well, that’s a good thing I guess. Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance, the world's biggest cryptocurrency exchange, in a record theft that analysts pinned on North Korea and said could shake faith in digital assets.

Mark Carney sucks up to tyrants for trade
Every time the Prime Minister signs a trade deal with the world's worst dictatorships, he's attempting to rehabilitate them

How about we stop pretending Prime Minister Mark Carney’s foreign policy has anything to do with his famous Davos speech that Canada’s path would be a “principled and pragmatic” alliance of like-minded middle powers?

It’s one thing to make a deal with the European Union, whatever he and EU President Ursula von der Leyen want to call it.

But Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and, for gawd’s sake, Turkey, are now our “principled” partners?

C’mon. Let’s not kid the troops.

As alarming, our Liberal government has resumed its long-standing adoration of Beijing’s dictators – briefly derailed, at least publicly, by the foreign interference inquiry, which the previous Liberal government didn’t want to hold – but now back on full throttle as Canada trades one hegemon – the U.S. – for another – China.

PM attempting to rehabilitate world’s worst dictatorships
Carney isn’t just signing trade deals with some of the world’s worst dictatorships. Every time he does, he’s attempting to rehabilitate them.

He suggests by selective omission – despite their various histories of genocide, torture, false imprisonment, extrajudicial killings, mass executions, occupations, accommodation of terrorism, censorship and suppression of human rights – that underneath it all, they share common values with us.

Hardly anyone even asks anymore if Carney raises these issues in his meetings with their leaders, and even when they do, he comes up with another meaningless word salad to avoid publicly offending his hosts.

It’s certainly not mentioned in any of his official prime ministerial statements announcing Canada’s new economic, strategic and, heaven help us, security partnerships with them.

In his Davos speech at the World Economic Forum in January, Carney pontificated that the world’s “middle powers” like Canada, “have the capacity to build a new order that encompasses our values, like respect for human rights, sustainable development, solidarity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the various states.”

Ironic enough that he said it at the WEF – an annual meeting in the Swiss Alps of the world global political and corporate elites, who, in Carney’s own words, created the “dangerous and divided world … as it is, not as we wish it to be.”

As Terry Glavin recently wrote in his “The Real Story” substack:

“Does Canada’s road to a new and better world really need to run through China, Qatar and Turkey? …

“Mark Carney … wants to have it both ways. That’s what his Davis ‘Middle Powers’ formula has come to …

“Carney’s decision to include Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Turkey with the Qatari royal family and Xi Jinping’s China among Canada’s new ‘strategic partnerships’ is making a bad turn even worse. It’s exactly the kind of foreign and trade policy promiscuity that greased the skids for democracy’s global retreat over the past quarter of a century. It’s what produced Trumpism in the first place …

“Is it really that smart to add Turkey to Canada’s already-compromised supply chains? – why is Canada helping Erdogan realize his dream of transforming the Turkish republic into a semi-Islamist police state?

“Just as Carney was leaving Istanbul … thousands of journalists were protesting Erdogan’s ruthless suppression of independent media and opposition voices.”

To say nothing of the fact that in a morally compromised world, Turkey is a member of NATO.

“We aim to be both principled and pragmatic,” Carney claimed in his Davos speech, which he said means:

“Acting consistently, applying the same standards to allies and rivals.”

‘Living with a lie’
That’s a bizarre claim given that Carney and his foreign minister constantly condemn Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank since 1967, but are silent on the modern world’s longest occupation – of Tibet by China since 1950 – or Turkey’s occupation of northern Cyprus since 1974.

“When middle powers criticize economic intimidation from one direction but stay silent when it comes from another, we are keeping the sign in the window,” Carney said in his Davos speech, meaning that doing so is “living within a lie,” which is exactly what Carney’s foreign policy is doing.

In the real word, Canada’s foreign policy is not his claimed “new approach” but what it has always been – condemning certain hegemons (currently Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin) while accommodating others (Chinese President Xi Jinping) in the interests of trade.

If, as Carney claimed in his Davos speech, “the power of the less powerful starts with honesty,” then at least be honest about that.

As Glavin rightly observes:

“It’s a strikingly odd thing that the mass adulation of Prime Minister Mark Carney that has become a singularly weird feature of Canadian politics is as much an American thing as anything else …. They’re besotted, and I get it. They’ll cheer for anybody who can dare stand up to the deranged American president and get away with it.”

Expect a massive increase in single male immigrants that do not have Canada's interests in mind.

Who is doing that? I bet its the same people who had Spain suddenly flooded.

Who NEEDS you to believe they dont have your best interests in mind? Botswana?

Do you know who did that and why?

Do you want to know?

You wont believe me but Im going to tell you who the fuck it was snyway.

My favourite Satanists...and as always it is dismissed as a long string of unique yet non-definitive coincidences shrouded in plausible deniability.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez accused Israel and Russia of spreading disinformation to fuel a massive surge of 50,000 to over 70,000 migrants into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta in late July and August 2026, while Israel firmly denied the allegations, calling them a "blatant lie". [1, 2]

The 2026 Ceuta Migrant Crisis
    • The Influx: Between July 30 and August 1, 2026, tens of thousands of migrants (largely from Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa) swam or climbed fences to enter Ceuta, leading to over 100 estimated deaths and overwhelming local infrastructure. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
    • Spanish Claims vs. Denials: Prime Minister Sánchez stated that foreign disinformation campaigns—specifically pointing to Russia and Israel—helped trigger and amplify the crisis. He linked these actions to Spain's political stance and criticism of Israel's military actions in Gaza, as reported by The Guardian. Israel rejected the accusations completely. [1, 2]
    • Morocco's Role: While some geopolitical analysts and online commentators speculated that Morocco engineered the breach as "migration blackmail" or retaliation—similarly to past disputes over Western Sahara or Algeria—Sánchez stated there was no direct intelligence implicating Moroccan authorities in orchestrating the crossing, praising cooperation instead. [1, 2, 3]

Geopolitical and Social Media Context
    • Israel-Morocco Ties: Observers and regional experts noted that Morocco and Israel have deepened diplomatic, intelligence, and military ties following the Abraham Accords. [1, 2]
    • Theories vs. Evidence: Some political commentators and media outlets like The Jerusalem Post discussed theories connecting the migrant wave to tensions between Spain's pro-Palestinian government and the US-Israel-Morocco axis. However, public investigations and official statements found no concrete evidence proving that Israel or Morocco coordinated the border breach for strategic leverage. [1, 2]
    • Disinformation and Far-Right Exploitation: Reports from platforms like Al Jazeera highlighted how far-right groups and social media networks rapidly amplified anti-immigrant narratives and "Islamic invasion" warnings in the wake of the chaos. [1]

Back on trade and tariffs, no tension escalated rapidly after the EU and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney finalized negotiations for a sweeping new partnership called the "Alliance for the Future" at a summit in Montreal. The pact establishes wide-ranging strategic ties covering artificial intelligence, digital commerce, critical minerals, and space-based communication. Crucially, it sets a path for Canada to officially become the EU's first-ever "associate member" (whatever that means) by June 2027.

Since Trump claims to need nothing from Canada, and yet when Canada didn’t agree to an extremely lopsided trade deal then 50% tariffs were threatened to be slapped upon us…because America doesn’t need, etc…leading to this weekend. President Trump has warned that if the alliance (between Canada & the EU) is driven by what he deems a "bad intention" or a "hostile act" aimed at the United States (?), he will retaliate severely. He threatened to:
    • Impose "very serious tariffs" on European goods.
    • Completely halt trading with Europe on a vast array of products.
"We Don't Need Anything They Have" (?) Trump has coupled his warnings to Europe with heavy criticism of Canada, labeling it a "terrible trade partner". Amid ongoing US-Canada trade disputes, Trump explicitly stated that the US holds a massive trade deficit with the EU and does not need to rely on either partner. At a campaign rally, he dismissed the necessity of their goods altogether because if they really don’t need anything then he would be completely neutral on the subject, would he not?

Yes, Canada will always have America as its largest trading partner due to geography.

How much can words get twisted and how can numbers be manipulated? And if a tree fallls in the woods does anyone hear it ?
